National Institute of Technology, NIT, are the deemed universities and they are funded by the Central Government. These universities do offer various courses at the undergraduate level, postgraduate, and Doctoral courses. Category Benefits: Top NIT Colleges in India

JEE Main aspirants on qualifying for the admission at the top NIT colleges in India, can avail fee remission benefits but it is entirely dependent on the category. For example,

  1. A student belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, or physically handicapped then there will be 100 percent fee waiver. 

  2. For students belonging to the economically backward class, with their family’s annual income less than 5 lakh per annum, then there will be full remission of the fee. 

Procedure: 

  1. The student must submit the income certificate of the family issued by the state’s competent authority.

  2. Additionally, the student must submit an affidavit on the Non-Judiciary stamped paper worth INR 100 and the affidavit content must be downloaded from the university website.
