After completion of every shift in the JEE Main examination, candidates turn to compare their performance with JEE Main 2025 Marks vs Rank vs percentile, but why so? Here is the reason that makes them inquisitive to learn their position in the JEE Main 2025. It is estimated that at least 14 lakhs candidates are appearing for JEE Main 2025 and conducting this toughest examination, National Testing Agency, takes the responsibility to conduct this examination. The National Testing Agency, NTA, conducts the entire examination process for two sessions, the first session was held in the month of January 2025, and the second session is from April 1 to April 8. Every day of the Session 01 & Session 02, there will be two shifts and by the end of the JEE Main 2025 exam, multiple exams for the JEE Main 2025 shall have been commenced.
A paper in a particular shift may be easy, tough or difficult. As a result, the ranking may differ for the obtained scores from shift to shift.
Marks vs Percentile JEE Mains 2025 Procedure Adopted by NTA
NTA has implemented the percentile system, to establish the rankings for all shifts of session 01, and session 02. By comparing the marks vs percentile JEE Mains 2025, can make the candidates know the most probable marks that can be obtained.
Below one can find the assumed ranks for the JEE Main 2025 when compared with the previous years rank, the approximate ranks for different scores against the percentile is made available. In the competitive markets, many software tools have surfaced that reveal the approximate ranks to the obtained scores. One must be mindful that it is just the probable solutions based on the previous year’s rank cards. In addition, several important considerations are taken into account like the total number of questions attempted by the candidates, toughness of the paper in a session, etc.
However, in the upcoming lines, one can understand the use of a software predictor that displays the most probable ranks on the percentile calculator.
Statistically, percentile is defined as the percentage of the score that falls below a specific value, say 100. In fact, it is the comparison of an individual performance in regard to other performers in the available Data Set. These dataset may belong to a class of heights, temperatures, income, or even the marks of different candidates in a sampled format. In this case, the percentile of marks equals the number of values below 'X' by the total number of values in the dataset of Shift 1, or Shift 2 in a day.
Percentile = { Total number of values below ‘x’ / Total number of values } * 100
Let us assume that a candidate gets a mark of ‘x’ and then one will have to calculate the total number of values below the ‘x’ and also take the total number of values. And, after that multiply by 100, to seek the percentile.
To find the exact position of the Xth percentile in the select data of the dataset, can be evaluated by implementing the following formulae:
P = (Xth Percentile/100) * Total number of values in the dataset.
The Xth percentile must be divided by the 100 and multiplied by the total number of values in the dataset to define the exact position of the percentile in the dataset.
Percentile Calculator Helps in Exploring JEE Mains 2025 Marks vs Percentile
Make an entry into the official website of the JEE Main Rank Predictor tool 2025 to explore the JEE Mains 2025 Marks vs Percentile.
The candidate must enter all the empty fields on the JEE Main website, and also make an entry of the approximated percentile in the exam.
The candidate will have to provide a few additional details such as the difficulty level of the paper ( maths, physics, and chemistry) and also one must mention the shift.
The candidate must enter the call to action button that leads to the calculation of the rank based on the percentile.
In a little time, the tool shall display the rank against the percentile. The basic underlying advantage is, if a candidate finds it comforting to the personal preferences then one need not attend the second session.
In the below stated tabular column, for a percentile score, the total expected ranks in total are depicted below.
