The National Testing Agency (NTA) has established a rule that allows JEE Main aspirants to take the examination twice, in January and April, every year. Aspirants can avail themselves of the JEE Session 2 preparation to score better than before if they haven’t performed well in the JEE Session 1. Considering a hypothetical situation, let us begin with an argument that you haven’t performed well and want to reappear for Session 02. In such a time, how should you manage the JEE Main Session 2 preparations? 

JEE Session 2 Preparation Defines Preparatory Limitations

You must always remember that the syllabus for the JEE session 2 preparation examination is huge, and you are expected to concentrate on the fundamental concepts properly. NCERT books are the universal reference books for JEE exams, and you are expected to have practised the concepts thoroughly. Every element of the question that appears in the Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry exams is completely built on the concepts. If you had not learnt the concepts properly, writing down the correct answers would be impossible. 

No New Learning of Concepts before JEE Main Session 2 Exams 

If you have not learnt fundamental concepts for a heavyweight topic, you must avoid redoing it.  The reason is the time constraint. This year, the JEE Main session 01 was conducted between January 22 and 28, and session 02 will commence from April 02 to April 08, 2025. If you have observed, the duration between two sessions is just 2 months, and in such a short time, you are never advised to apply thought in learning the newer concepts. When you have skipped learning the concepts of a particular topic during session 01 preparations, then skip the same while preparing for session 02 as well. Do not begin with new learning because it can reduce the revision time of other topics. 

Best Way to Improve Performance in JEE Main Session 2

According to the teaching faculty's opinion, try to revise the thoroughly known syllabus repeatedly, and this shall help you in improving your performance by as much as 20 to 25 percent in the upcoming session 02 examination. This is the basic thumb rule you are supposed to follow, and never try to navigate a new learning process. Another advice given by the faculty is, if you are aware of solving level 01 questions on a topic, then continue to be perfect in it and do not waste your time trying beyond it. Further, you may have faced a few problems in solving the known questions in session 01, you need to redo the session 01 paper and similar questions on model papers. This action will help you respond quickly with precision in the upcoming session 02 exam. 

Broader Outlines in Preparing JEE Main Session 2

1. You must keep in mind that the preparation for session 02 remains the same as you have done for session 01. 

2. You should be in contact with your mentors and resolve your doubts on concepts without wasting time when you are revising. 

3. You must be attentive in answering the tricky questions that confused you during session 01.  

Dos and Don’ts before your JEE Session 02 Examination

1. Follow a study model that is similar to session 01, you need not deviate from the revision process.  

2. Do not cross the selected time allotted for the revision of the chapter-wise syllabus of every subject. 

3. Do revise chapter-wise repeated questions that appeared in the previous years. 

4. Do revise the height-weight questions and most trickiest questions that are commonly revised during your regular classroom sessions and revision classes.  

5. You must make up for the errors and mistakes committed in the session 01 examination papers. You must check for the mistakes and correct them properly. 

6. Do attempt a maximum of mock tests and keep correcting mistakes, and prepare for perfection. 

7. Please avoid revising on the last day for long hours. Keep your mind cool and calm. 

8. A few days before the session 02 examinations, you must begin to maintain proper sleep, food, and a bit of exercise. It will keep you active throughout the day.

1. You must make a smart plan and focus on important topics such as, 

1. For Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Vector, and Probability. 

2. For Chemistry: Chemical Bonding, Hydrocarbons

3. For Physics: Laws of Motion, & Thermodynamics
