  • Aspirants have to make sure that they are not wearing any expensive jewellery or watches to the JEE exam centre.
  • Candidates should keep in mind to not wear clothes with multiple pockets, as this may cause delays in checking at the JEE Mains centre.
  • Candidates should not bring any extra paper, books or any other reference materials that could be counted as unfair means.
  • Aspirants should avoid shoes in JEE Main centre, and try to use slippers or sandals.
  • Candidates, especially girls, should keep their hair tied properly and should not use any hairpin, band or any other accessories.
  • Candidates must maintain complete quiet. Any speech, gesture, or disturbance in the examination hall will be considered misbehaviour. If a candidate is discovered to have used unfair means or to have impersonated another person, his or her candidature will be cancelled, and he or she may be prevented from taking an examination permanently or for a certain length of time, depending on the nature of the offence.

JEE Main Exam Day Guidelines

  • Aspirants should arrive at the exam centre one hour before the exam and must not leave the exam centre before the exam ends.
  • No applicants will be allowed to enter the JEE Main 2024 exam centre after the gate closes, and no candidates will be permitted to leave the exam venue premises until the exam is completed.
  • Students wearing special religious dress are encouraged to arrive at exam centres earlier to undergo a thorough inspection and necessary frisking.
  • The candidate must bring the JEE Main 2024 admit card, address proof, and any other JEE Mains-related documents to the exam centre. The Centre Superintendent would not allow a participant to take the examination if they do not have the NTA JEE Mains hall ticket 2024.
  • Before entering the JEE Main exam centres, students must complete the self-declaration form, paste a passport-sized photograph, and place their left-hand thumb impression in the area provided.
  • Students must completely adhere to the JEE main norms and regulations 2024 as advised by the centre superintendent/invigilators.
  • Candidates must maintain social distancing as recommended in the JEE mains guidelines.
  • Candidates should take their seats as soon as the examination hall opens. They can check in and study the instructions for JEE Mains 2024 before the exam begins.
  • A pen/pencil and blank paper for rough work will be given in the examination hall. Candidates must write their names and roll numbers on their sheets. This sheet must be returned to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
  • Candidates must fill out the attendance page, sign it, and paste their pictures where designated.
  • Candidates must ensure their left thumb impression is clear and not smudge the attendance sheet.
