Strategies for Achieving a Flawless 360 Score in Biology

NEET is a national admission exam for all medical, dentistry, and AYUSH-related programmes. Due to its wide applicability across multiple courses and colleges, it is considered one of the most competitive exams in India. Though the exam is exclusively based on NCERT ideas, the questions are designed to be challenging enough that only a small percentage of students will succeed.

NEET consists of four major science subjects: physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany. Each subject has 45 MCQs to answer out of 50. Each multiple-choice question carries four marks. Thus, 180 questions must be answered for 720 points. The biology part (botany and zoology) has 90 questions (50% of the total). As a result, focusing on this subject will help candidates achieve the necessary score to pass the NEET exam. Here are some tips for scoring a flawless 360 (90×4 = 360) in biology.

Tricks for NEET Biology

  • First and foremost, understand the biology syllabus for the NEET exam. It is recommended to begin with an NCERT textbook for biology because NCERT books are considered the best. Additionally, it is the standard book.
  • It covers questions about animal respiration, reproduction and development, nutrition, tissues, biotechnology, ecology, and other themes.
  • Biology comprises chapters on the anatomy of flowering plants, the animal kingdom from Porifera to echinoderms, microbes and the origin of life, growth repair and regeneration, biodiversity, and so on.
  • Includes essential themes like as photosynthesis, cell structure, plant morphology, nutrition, genetics, monera, plant kingdom, and many more.
  • Never forget that the most critical stage in your preparation is to review NEET's previous question papers on biology. It provides a sense of the question patterns and is the most effective technique to practise and revise.
  • Students are urged to study all of the examples provided in NCERT, as well as the common names, and to plan ahead of time for Plantae and Animalia themes, as they are time-consuming and extensive. Furthermore, more emphasis should be placed on class-level chordates and phylum in non-chordates.
  • Always make charts and notes on names while studying biology, since this will help you revise and retain names at your fingertips. It is also easier to refer to before taking the NEET exam.

Preparing for Biology NEET does not imply ignoring specific aspects of the syllabus. It is about making informed decisions on how to best allocate your study time and effort for optimal results. By strategically prioritising high-weightage chapters while maintaining a fundamental mastery of the entire syllabus, you can significantly boost your chances of meeting your NEET objectives. Remember, the key is to focus smartly, practise hard, and have a confident and positive attitude throughout your journey.
