NEET 2025 Exam Dates, Application, Fees & Key Information

NTA is ready to conduct the toughest and the biggest national-level exams and it is scheduled for May 04, 2025. And the applicants will have to submit the application form online, which has been made available since February 07, 2025. The  date of closing will be March 07, 2025, at 11:50 pm. This   information completely focuses on the registration process, fee payment, and the caution a candidate must take before and while taking the examination. 

Focus on NEET 2025 Updates

  • NEET 2025 updates are clearly defined in the official brochure which is made available on the official website of NTA. A gist of the NEET 2025 information is posted on this page. 
  • The NEET application is a lengthy process in which one may commit errors and that might require corrections in the submitted application form. For that, NTA provides two days to make corrections if any, and the NTA has allotted from March 09, 2025, to March 11, 2025. 
  • A candidate can pay the fees through credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. 
  • A candidate will have to make the payment depending upon the category one belongs to, General (₹ 1700/-), General -EWS / OBC (₹ 9500/-),  SC/ST/PwBD/PwD (₹ 1600/- ), and for third gender ( ₹ 1000/- ).
  • The important information such as the examination centers, ( city intimation) will be released by April 26, 2025, and the candidates can download their admit cards from the assigned official websites: (https://nta.ac.in/ or https://neet.nta.nic.in) from May 01, 2025, onwards. 
  • The NEET examination duration lasts for 180 minutes and the exam will be held nationwide between 02:00 pm and 05:00 pm.  
  • NTA will display recorded responses and answer keys at the appropriate date and time which shall be intimated on the designated website at a later stage. 
  • NTA is most likely to display the NEET results on the official website by June 14, 2025     (tentatively). 

Check List for NEET 2025 Date of Examination 

As the NEET 2025 date of examination has been released, here is the checklist for candidates to ensure proper filling of the online application. 

  • A candidate must fulfil the eligibility conditions laid by the NTA for NEET. 
  • Certain important parameters must be filled in correctly such as male/female/third gender correctly. They should select their category such as General | General EWS | OBC-NCL ( non creamy layer) /SC/ST correctly. 
  • If a candidate is a person with disability then that person must fill in the relevant column of the application form correctly. And, candidates who are not physically challenged will have to keep the empty blank vacant. 
  • The candidate must maintain a printout of the completed application form as a reference. 

NEET 2025 Application, Registration and Fee Payment

To process the NEET 2025 application, the candidate will have to pass through three prominent steps and they are registration page, filling out application form, and fee payment. Through the procedure a candidate will have to follow the do and don’ts described in the annexure of the application form. However, the content is explained in brief. 

NEET 2025 Registration Page

  • The candidate must enter the login page of the https://neet.nta.nic.in/ , and fill out the details as per the proforma. 
  • They are the candidate's name, date of birth, identification type, category of the candidate, and nationality.  
  • Note: Identification type can belong to any of the following: Class 12 Admit Card with Photograph, School ID Card No, Election Card (EPIC No.), Ration Card, Bank Account, Passbook with Photograph, Passport Number or Number of any other Photo, Identity Card issued by Government. 
  • Further, the candidate will have to provide an active mobile number, email address, parent’s mobile number and email address. Provide correct postal address, both permanent and communication address. 
  • And, click the submit button for registration. 

Fill in the complete Application Form

  • The candidate will have to proceed with the mobile number and email address and then begin to fill out the application form. They are category, examination centers, medium of question paper, academic details, and candidates appearing 12th-Grade must select the qualifying code as 01.  
  • The candidate must enter the photograph, signature, and thumb impression. And, one must follow the specified size and format of the uploading elements. 

NEET 2025 Examination Fee: 

  • After completing the online Application Form, a candidate can choose a desired mode to remit the examination fee. 
  • The candidate can go for Debit/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI services. Banks that provide services for the fee remittance are State Bank of India/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank. If the fee payment process is complete then the web portal shall display a confirmation page and the candidate should keep the printout for future reference.

Improper Filling of Online Application Can Trouble Candidate

  • The candidate is advised to fill out the application without errors because a request to change details in the online application is impermissible. 
  • If a candidate forgets to complete the application form then it shall be rejected and one shall not receive the admit card. 
  • National Testing Agency, NTA, can cross validate the candidate at any point of time if the agency finds it essential to seek clarification on any reasonable grounds. It can be provision of multiple forms, fake information or lack of proper information. 
  • If a candidate is found guilty of charges then NTA has authority to debar the candidate for a period of three years. And, such a candidate is liable to be subjected to criminal action under the laws of the relevant country.
  • Note: A candidate must take a physical copy of the online application form and fill out the details and then type-in the information quickly and carefully. At the time of registering the online application form, the online transaction password, OTP, that is generated shall be valid for only 15 minutes. The candidate will have to generate the OTP again when it gets lapsed to continue the online application filling process.  

Admit card and its Limitations

  • The Admit card is provided to the candidates only when they fulfill the eligibility conditions. In case if the application is found incomplete for any reason, could be due to photographs, or unsigned applications or any other issue then the candidate shall not be able to gain access to admit card online. 
  • If a candidate is unable to access the admit card then one must approach the helpline center between 10;00 am and 05:00 pm or seek an email support at neetug2025@nta.ac.in. 
  • Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Card in good condition for future reference.
