The National Testing Agency, NTA, took up the responsibility of conducting the national level exams and it is entrusted by the National Medical Commission, NMC. Recently, on January 25, 2025, the National Testing Agency has released an important notification regarding the question paper pattern. Due to Covid in 2020, the NEET entrance examination was revised with changes to make it suitable for students. Now, the NTA has decided to revert the pre-covid format. That means, the examination shall be conducted with the question paper pattern as conducted in the years preceded 2020. In the existing years, Section B was included to benefit the NEET candidates and from NEET 2025 onwards the pattern shall revert.
A candidate appearing for the NEET 2025 exam pattern will have to take 180 questions and the breakdown will be as follows. The NEET candidate will be required to answer questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The physics and chemistry paper will contain 45 questions, and biology will comprise 90 questions. Candidates can download the hall ticket on the official website.
In 2024, the NEET 2024 exam was conducted in the afternoon session from 2:00 pm to 05:20 pm and a similar schedule is expected in NEET 2025 Exam as well.
As per the registration procedures, the candidate must enter the application form and then upload the essential documents. Once the application is completed online, one must make the payment of the NEET UG 2025 application fee, and then click to submit the application. In the end, the applicant can make the PDF and the fee payment thereby take the download of the payment receipt.
NTA has opened an online portal link for the candidates to apply for NEET 2025 examination. The application procedure is made simple and is as follows.

In NEET 2025, the NTA has made modifications in the exam pattern which reverts to the previous pattern prior to NEET 2020. It means that the inclusion of the optional questions of Section B during the Covid-19 has been removed from the upcoming NEET 2025 examination.
NEET 2025 examination shall be scheduled in the first week of May 2025 and the entire exam schedule will be executed in a single shift.
This year (2025), the estimated number of NEET aspirants will be about 25 lakhs to 30 lakhs. And, with a lot of rural-urban participation, the examination will be conducted offline which means it incorporates pen and paper mode.
NEET 2025 examination is conducted in 12 languages along with English. And, they are Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Depending upon the NEET rank, NTA allows the candidates to seek admission in any of the following courses, such as, MBBS, BDS, alternate medicine, paramedical courses.
