JEE Main Exam 2025: Do’s & Don’ts Guidelines for Candidates

National Testing Agency, NTA, has initiated the JEE Main Exam 2025 from January 22, onwards and shall last until January 30, 2025. Students who are making an attempt shall have a hectic schedule and they shall be  appearing in the first or second session and it depends on the allotment. About 14.0 lakh JEE Main aspirants are going for the exam and an air of heightened tension is mounting. Here are a few tips that can make you feel comfortable and stay cool through the process of examination. You are advised to do’s and don’ts and also essential documents which are to be carried on.   

Do’s on the JEE Main Examination Day:

Dress Code for Female/Candidates:

  • You must wear a dress that doesn’t raise the security issues in the examination room.
  • Female candidates must wear clothes that are comforting, avoid jewelry, sun glasses, or ornaments as it may demand more security checks on you and would lead to stressful encounters. 
  • Always prefer lightweight clothes, and men must avoid metallic parts,such as heavy belt buckles,or decoratives, avoid caps, head coverings, chains, rings as they can cause irritation while you are in the examination hall. 
  • Both female and male candidates must use light slippers and keep away from shoes. 
  • Check the location of your examination center before, just  to avoid the last minute searching for the center. 
  • Arrive at the examination center at least an hour before as you will be subjected to the security checks so an early entry can make you settle down well in the examination hall. 
  • Read the instructions provided on the hall ticket and also listen patiently to the security at the examination center. 
  • The most important item is your admit card ticket and ballpoint pen. 
  • Do carry a photo identity and it must be the same as the glued on the JEE Mains 2025 hall ticket. 
  • Do follow the established rules and regulations as mentioned in the hall ticket failing to it can put you in dire consequences.

Don’ts on the JEE Main Examination Day:

  • Every candidate is allotted a specific seat so, do not occupy the other's seat. 
  • Do not carry items that can cause an element of doubt for the invigilators, such as, calculators, electronic devices, or smartwatches. 
  • Do not carry eatables inside the examination campus.
