Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for the JEE Advance 2024, the Candidates must rank among the top 2,50,000 qualified applicants from the JEE Main 2024 BE/BTech Paper (all categories combined). The maximum number of JEE Main 2024 applicants who are qualified to apply for JEE Advanced 2024 is broken down as follows:

Registration Process:

The JEE Advance registration process will commence on April 21, 2024 and end on April 30, 2024. Online registration is available for candidates at jeeadv.ac.in, the official JEE Advanced website.

Candidates will need to pay an application fee of ₹3000 for General/OBC candidates and ₹1500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Payment can be made online using net banking, credit card, debit card, or e-challan.

Paper Pattern:

JEE Advance 2024 will be conducted online and consist of two exams, Paper 1 and Paper 2, as per the JEE Advanced 2024 paper format. Candidates will be allowed three hours for each of the two papers. The JEE Advanced 2024 question paper design includes matching-type questions, numerical value questions, multiple-choice questions with numerous answers, and questions with multiple answers. There are three types of marks in JEE Advanced: full, partial, and zero. 

  • Full marks: +4 If only (all) the correct options are chosen

  • Partial Marks: +3 If all the four options are correct but ONLY three correct options are chosen

  • Partial Marks: +2 If three or more options are correct but only two correct options are chosen

  • Partial Marks: +1 If two or more options are correct but only one correct option is chosen

  • Zero Marks:: 0 If none of the options are chosen

  • Negative Marks: -2 In all other cases
