The NTA has removed the 75 percent eligibility requirement for JEE Main. To take the JEE Main 2022 exam, candidates must have completed their 12th grade.
On March 1, 2022, the National Talent Agency (NTA) published a notice about the JEE Main 2022 application form on its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to the most recent notification, the NTA has removed the 75 percent marks criterion from the minimum eligibility percentage norms for writing JEE Mains 2022. During the previous academic year, aspirants had to have 75 percent aggregate marks in their 12th board examination to be eligible to take the JEE Mains.
On the other hand, candidates for JEE Main Arch & Planning must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and a 50% aggregate in the comprehensive examination.
Before filling out the application form for JEE Mains 2022, interested candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria. The exam can only be given twice this year, in April and May 2022. The first session of the JEE Main will be held on April 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, while the second session will be held on May 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29. The deadline for submitting the JEE Mains application form is March 31, 2022.
Age Limit
NTA has announced no age limit for candidates taking the JEE (Main) – 2022. Students who passed the category 12/original examination in 2020, 2021, or 2022, regardless of age, are eligible to sit for the JEE (Main) – 2022 examination. Nonetheless, students may be required to meet the age requirements of the Institute(s) to which they wish to apply.
List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)
1) The 10+2 system's board exam, piloted by any prestigious Central/State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; and so on.
2) An honourable Board/University conducts an intermediate or two-time Pre-University examination.
3) Final exam for the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy (NDA)
4) NIOS (The National Institute of Open Schooling) Senior Lyceum Examination consisting of a minimum of five subjects.
5) Any Board/Public School/University exam of India or any foreign country honoured as the 10+2 system of the AIU (Association of Indian Universities)
6) Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
7) A Parchment honoured by a State board of specialized education of at least three times duration or AICTE
8) GCE (General Certificate Education examination) (Cambridge/ London/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) position.
9) High school Certificate Exam of International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva or the Cambridge University.
10) Campaigners who have completed the Class 12 (or original) examination outside of India or from a Board other than those listed above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) stating that the examination they passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
11) If the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have previously cleared at least one Pre-University or public Board examination.
Aspirants who passed their class 12th exam in 2022/ 2021 and registered for the JEE Advanced 2021 but were unable to appear are also eligible to take the JEE Advanced this time. Due to the current epidemic situation, the sanctioned announcement states that this is a one-time opportunity valid only for JEE Advanced 2022.
JEE Advanced 2022 registration will begin on June 8, 2022, at jeeadv.ac.in. The registration deadline for JEE Advanced 2022 is June 14, 2022. The 2022 JEE Advanced examination will be held online on July 3, 2022.
