Exploring the Study Techniques of JEE Toppers: Insights into Tips and Strategies from IIT JEE Achievers in 2024

JEE is one of the most awaited tests for students to pursue Engineering/Architecture degrees at prestigious universities such as IIT, NIT, and several government institutes in India. All students who have completed Class XII with Mathematics as one of the primary subjects are eligible to take this exam. JEE Main is the first round of exams. Students who score higher than the minimum cutoff score in JEE Main can take JEE Advanced.

The JEE main question exam contains approximately 90 objective-type questions in 3 hours. It is divided into three sections  Physics (30 questions), Chemistry (30 questions), and Mathematics (30 questions).  To score well in the examination, the students must answer at least 20 questions correctly.

Let’s discuss the IIT JEE preparation tips by toppers:

IIT JEE Preparation Tips by Toppers

  •  How many hours IIT toppers Study

Many students doubt how many hours IIT toppers study. Firstly, they create a study timetable for their exams. This is not the type of exam where you can prepare the night before and expect to do well. Because the material is extensive and the examination is demanding, you must handle the situation methodically and strategically. Students should keep to a study schedule and plan their studies.

  • Schedule your study time

The study timetable of IIT toppers includes preferred study times, topics to be covered, topic classification based on difficulty degree, and topic time allocation. Students must ensure that they adhere to the timetable they have created for themselves. And the timetable should not be changed midway simply because someone else is following a different schedule. A timetable may change in time may result in the loss of valuable time, and the adjustment may not be effective.

  • Concentrate and Avoid Distractions

Social media is one of the most common sources of distraction for people nowadays. It is not required to give up electronic devices and social media sites. You just must refrain from using social media during study hours. You can look for videos on issues that are unclear to you.

  • Take Mock Tests Before the Exam

JEE Main is an online examination, and the questions must be answered within the time limit. Students are recommended to take JEE Main mock exams before the main examination to improve their response time. Mock examinations help students discover which topics require development. Students will also become familiar with the exam format and question types through practice.

  • Adequate Sleep and Rest

Students usually stay up all night studying. Staying up late at night and getting less sleep might harm the student's health. It may be leaving them disoriented in the exam hall. So it is critical to obtain enough sleep before the exam.

While you prepare for JEE Main, try to maintain a calm and determined attitude. Consider how exciting it would be to be admitted into an IIT. Stay positive by picturing those memories every day. Clearing the exam is possible, if you understand your abilities, are confident, and concentrate on them.
